Sherwood School strives to meet the unique needs of Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. Our class sizes are small, and we provide a Division 1 and Division 2 Opportunity Program. Students in Grades 4 to 6 receive Spanish Language and Culture instruction. We are partners with Food for Thought and Breakfast Clubs of Canada to provide a breakfast program for our students and we are committed to providing a healthy daily snack program for all students.
We’re also an APPLE school, helping students make healthy choices and focus on healthy active living.
Sherwood School offers a full-day Kindergarten program. We work closely with Student Learning Services, including our Inclusive Learning Team to provide support to all our students.
We provide a variety of after-school opportunities for students including Kids on Track after-school program, HACK (Healthy Active Community Kids), and Sportball. We partner with the Bent Arrow Society to offer the Coyote Pride noon-hour program and the Coyote Kids evening program, as well as the White Cloud Head Start program and Wichitowin Family evenings. There is a before and after school care on site, provided by Kidco Community Childcare Centers.
